Course Description
Wilderness Advanced Life Support (WALS®) is an advanced course designed for healthcare professionals who may be called upon to provide patient care in remote, austere, or resource-challenged environments. WALS® emphasizes applying current medical knowledge, critical thinking, and sound clinical judgment when traditional healthcare resources are limited or unavailable. Training includes lecture, discussion, case studies, patient assessment drills, hands-on skills labs, and immersive scenarios. Who should attend: Physicians (MD/DO), Advanced Practice Providers (PA/NP), Registered Nurses, Paramedics, and other ALS-trained field providers. Others may be admitted on a case-by-case basis.
